Seeking private partners for Health~Holland's 2027 public-private partnership (PPP) programme

Rising antimicrobial resistance (AMR) threatens the effectiveness of essential medical treatments and calls for innovative solutions that help reduce unnecessary exposure to antibiotics in humans, animals, and the environment.

AMR-Global brings together public and private parties to tackle this challenge by developing new knowledge, technologies, and applications. To further shape its mission, the AMR-Global Steering Group is currently preparing a program proposal for Health~Holland’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Programme 2027.

With this proposal, we aim to develop a programme in which public and private partners jointly address innovation challenges, explore opportunities, and lay the foundation for new PPP projects that fall under these themes:

• biomolecular & cell technologies,

• imaging & precision diagnostics,

• AI in healthcare & labour-saving.

We have already completed the initial stages of the application process. The next step is to submit the full program application by 2 October 2026 (17:00 CEST).

To do so, we would like to engage with private-sector parties to:

• Identify innovation challenges and opportunities within the identified themes,

• Explore the knowledge, technologies, and applications needed to achieve impact,

• Jointly shape the programme proposal,

• Prepare for future public-private collaborations and PPP projects.
